TRANSPARENCY

Privacy first

A simple tool should not need a profile of you.

What WANIP processes

When you connect to any website, your IP address is technically visible to the server and its network providers. WANIP displays the address observed for the current request so the service can perform its main function.

Storage

This application does not intentionally write visitor IP addresses to an application database. The web server, hosting provider or CDN may maintain security and access logs under their own configuration. Operators should configure log access and retention appropriately.

Third-party tools

IP lookup and DNS tools may send queries to third-party providers when you explicitly use them. Review those providers' policies before submitting sensitive information. DNS queries can reveal the domain names you ask to look up.

Your choices

You can use the basic IP endpoint without creating an account. Do not submit private or sensitive information to diagnostic tools. This page is informational and should be reviewed against the actual hosting, CDN and logging configuration before being treated as a formal legal policy.
